No method beats the house edge. Good bankroll management does something else: it decides in advance how much you're willing to lose, and stops you there.
Before you play, set an amount for the session. It's the price of a night out, not an investment: treat it as spent from the start. It never comes from rent, grocery or borrowed money. If you lose it all, the session is over; you don't go looking for more.
With tokens, the rule is the same, even though nothing is really lost: it's the right habit to build before ever playing with real money.
A stake of 1 to 2% of the budget gives you 50 to 100 rounds; above 5%, a short losing streak is enough to empty the session. It doesn't change what you lose on average (the game keeps the same percentage of every stake), but it sets how long your evening lasts. Never double your stake after a loss: the martingale only makes losses bigger, as our page on strategies shows.
The average loss is an average over a very large number of sessions. A real session can end much lower (the whole budget) or higher: that's variance.
| Rule | Example with 10,000 tokens |
|---|---|
| Loss stop | The budget is gone: session over, no top-up. |
| Win stop | You reach 15,000: you stop and keep that balance for another time. |
| Time limit | 45 minutes, phone timer set before round 1. |
| Round limit | 100 rounds, then a break of at least an hour. |
Set these rules cold, before the first round. Once the multiplier is climbing, you're not the one making the best decisions. A win stop doesn't improve your odds: it only keeps you from playing it all back.
A crash game is fast: a round lasts a few seconds, and an hour goes by unnoticed. Set a timer, take a real break (get up, drink a glass of water) and don't play tired, after drinking or to calm down. With real money, regulated casinos offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion: turn them on day one, not the day things go wrong.
Even one of these signs is worth stopping for. Our page on gambler's biases explains why the urge to "win it back" is so strong.

1 to 2% of the session budget is a common benchmark: 50 to 100 rounds. It sets how long the session lasts, not what you lose on average.
